The crew completed tear off – using the Equipter “ New Roof, No Mess Roofing Buggy” which protects the lawn, land scaping & siding. The tear off consisted of removal of 1 layer of Asphalt Shingles and haul away. Inspected roof decking for integrity and re-nailed roof decking where needed with 8D nails. Underlayment used is Sharkskin Ultra SA Ice & Water Shield (Premium Ice Dam Protection) and GAF Tiger Paw using Cap nails. New galvanized steel drip edge and ultimate pipe flashing that employs a breakthrough design with a propriety sealing method. GAF Cobra Snow Country Ridge Vent was utilized for attic ventilation.
Removed existing gutters and down spouts & hauled away on house and attached garage (all eaves). Installed 6” Fascia Style seamless gutters and 3”x4” oversized down spouts with 3’ extensions & zip hinge. This gutter is bigger and carries away 23% more water than the traditional 5” system. Plus it reduces the chance of foundation erosion, basement flooding, and moisture buildup. The zip hinge serves two main purposes: Ensures that downspout extension remains firmly attached and provides the convenience of moving and working around when moving and landscaping.
Cleaned the worksite which included blow-off roof surface, cleaned rain gutters & down spouts, magnet sweep yard, landscaping, driveways, & sidewalks. Blew-Off Driveway & Sidewalk.
